The original price for these was $1199 a pair, and I got these for less than half of that. For the money - a phemominal purchase! Very clean and accurate speakers, especially after about 30 hrs of break-in. The finish is absolutely gorgeous, and their size (40" high) is just right for my media setup. Obviously these are not strong in the lower bass range, but when matched to a good subwoofer, they really sound great. At their original retail price, I would maybe have to think twice about the purchase, but at their current sales price - they are an absolute steal. You can't go wrong with these. On a side note, Vann's delivered quick, and on time. When they arrived, both tall speakers were packaged together in a HUGE box that looked like it could have rolled out of the back of the truck. Nevertheless, the contents inside were intact and without a scratch. Very happy with my purchase, and I will definitely buy from Vann's/Amazon again.
