(More customer reviews)I must admit that I chose them over Grado, Beyerdynamic, and Ultrasone, simply because of the color. Please keep in mind that these are hi-fi headphones. They were not designed to be plugged into an iPod. Most consumer electronics with a headphone jack will only output 32ohms. These headphones are rated at 62. I have a basic headphone amp that outputs 51ohms, and it still isn't enough! I have to turn my computer volume up to 100% and the amp up to about 50% to attain an acceptable listening volume. Even then, its clear that bass and mids can use more "oompf." I'm not an advocate of any kind of hi-fi audio voodoo, but I will probably end up getting a new headphone amp soon with more power. Sound stage is enormous, but there is a bit more isolation than I have experienced with Grado's. I will update my review at that time. I should point out, thought, that the pulley suspension system on the headband is extraordinary. It makes these the most comfortable headphones I have ever put on my head. They adjust automatically each time you put them on. Combined with the velour ear pads, these can easily be worn for hours.
