(More customer reviews)I was looking for a sound system for my workplace, a closed industrial space with a bunch of fairly noisy machine running all day. I was looking at bookshelf and portable systems, and wanted something that could play mp3, wma & aac music from disc and/or thumbdrive. The reason I went with this system was the amount of power and the separate subwoofer. I don't play DJ with it, and nobody in the shop has an Ipod, so I can't comment on that functionality, but the rest of the system is awesome! You can play regular audio cd's, mp3 discs, plug in a usb drive, or use the AM/FM radio (we've hardly ever done that.) There are controls for low, medium and high range, and this thing pumps some bass! (We got yelled at by the suits to turn it down lol) The guys in the shop like hard rock, metal and blues, and everybody really likes the system. One of my favorites is you can have hundreds of mp3's on a 4GB thumbdrive and turn on the shuffle feature. Even though everything was loaded onto the drive in folders, it give you a great selection of music for hours. You can also control most of the functions from the remote. One of the features I was originally looking for was a multiple disc player, but being able to use the usb and mp3 discs in this more than make up for that. Remember, if the machinery is too loud, a good dose of Clutch, Mastodon or Tool is just what the doctor ordered!
